Large piece complete

Really pleased with this finished acrylic painting entitled 'Tourists' on 4x3ft canvas.

I used a lot of new techniques on this painting, and spent a long time debating lighting and amount of detail needed in my ad-hoc background, but the end result with the sunlight and a shallow depth of field on the main figure really pulls it out and highlights it as the point of interest,

One of the biggest differences in the way I painted this was to treat the canvas to many layers of glaze and colour wash; treating and tackling the whole picture as one at times.
